Thank you for taking an interest in my musicianship and finding your way to this website. I’ve been playing electric bass for 14 years, and graduated with a Bachelors in Music from Berklee College of Music in 2014, where I studied with Anthony Vitti, Whit Brown and Danny Morris, all masters of groove and the art of listening. A 5 string Ibanez SR has been my main workhorse for most of that time, but in the last few years I’ve primarily played a fretless resonator bass, built by Paul Beard. It fits well in the sonic role of an upright bass, and I’ve been putting it to good use playing latin, jazz and swing styles with guitarist Jeff Carmella, touring nationally with bluegrass band The Dirty Grass Players, gigging regionally with country act Mindy Miller and the Chrome Tears, and dabbling in various trad and old-time musics. I picked up clawhammer banjo in 2020, and have spent many hours learning and experimenting on my own, while taking lessons when possible from Jake Blount, Chris Coole and Maggie Shar.

My path in music began with my friends in the band Smoke n' Mangos, with whom I learned how to play my instrument, and how addicting it is to take artistic exploration as far as you can. We moved to Baltimore together in 2014 and continued the journey, where many self-funded tours and home-made merchandise followed, culminating in an album recorded and produced with Ryan Young of Trampled by Turtles. That band eventually ended after 9 years, but the collaborative energy and openness to experiment and deviate from the norm is still what I value most when playing with others.

Currently residing in western Massachusetts, playing out with Mamma’s Marmalade and Eric Lee, and offering private lessons.
